Top Destination Wedding Locations (part 1)

How to choose the best wedding locations?

Want to have a destination wedding but don’t know where to start? There are plenty of fantastic wedding locations in the world to hold your nuptials. Here is our selection of a few top destination wedding locations. It always better to discover and learn more about your potential wedding locations before you proceed with the organisation of your destination celebrations.

Caribbean: Dominican Republic

Take your pick from 800 miles of super-fine sandy beaches for your nuptials. The Dominican Republic’s most popular destination, Punta Cana, is also home to some of the best beaches in the world. In addition to its long list of all-inclusive resorts offering wedding packages and planners. #carribeanwedding

Greece: Santorini & Halkidiki

With its crystal clear waters, beautiful blue skies, and volcanic location, the Greek island of Santorini is a picture-perfect setting to say “I do”. It really is one of the best wedding destinations in Europe. #santoriniwedding

Portugal: Lisbon & Algarve region

With over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, it’s no wonder couples from northern Europe regularly jet off to the gorgeous Algarve for their big day! Just a short 3-hour flight from the UK and Ireland, the Algarve is Portugal’s southernmost region. It is renowned for its sun-filled days, making it a perfect setting for destination weddings.

From April to June is an ideal time for weddings – couples can expect warm weather, fewer crowds (a big plus if you’re after a beach wedding), and lower prices than during the busier summer months.

Italy: Tuscany

It’s hard to choose just one region of Italy to recommend for a destination wedding – Italians sure know how to throw a party! – but if we had to pick just one, it would be Tuscany. From the spectacular food, the flowing wine, the breathtaking scenery, and the incredible choice of wedding suppliers, Tuscany comes out on top every time.

The photo opportunities are just unrivalled, so it is advisable to work out your photography schedule with your photographer in advance to make most of the locations.
