London – Dubai Flights Update

Emirates Airlines: From 2 February 2021, Emirates Airlines will operate passenger flights to Dubai from London Heathrow and Manchester. Travellers planning to depart from the UK must ensure that they are authorised to travel under the latest UK government rules, and meet the travel requirements of their final destination.

On 28 January 2020, the UK government introduced additional travel restrictions affecting the UAE.

According to the official announcement, all passengers who have been in or transited through UAE (Dubai) in the last 10 days will not be granted access to the UK. However, this does not apply to British and Irish Nationals, and third country nationals – residents in the UK, who will be able to enter the UK but are required to self-isolate for 10 days on arrival along with their household.

All major airlines, including Emirates Airlines, are now suspending all passenger services between Dubai and all the airports  (Birmingham, Glasgow, London, Manchester, effective 1.00 PM on 29 January 2021 until further notice).

London – Dubai Flights

As the wedding photography industry continues to adapt to the ever-changing world and daily challenges, such as COVID travel restrictions, testing and self-isolation requirements, Dubai and the UAE remain a vital international travelling and social events hub for many professionals, including destination wedding photographers and videographers (like us).

Despite the introduced travel ban and direct flights suspension, it is still possible to travel to Dubai by air.

Here are some London- Dubai flights and alternative routes which could be considered to save your business trips or get you on time for the events worldwide:

  • London – Bahrain, BAH – Dubai, DXB (Gulf Air)
  • London – Paris – Dubai, DXB
  • London – Frankfurt – Dubai, DXB (Lufthansa)
  • London – Kyiv, KBP – Dubai, DXB (FlyUIA)

We will keep information on these London – Dubai flights and alternative routes updated as regularly as we can (including the information on pre-departure and on-arrival PCR testing). Please double check the information on the alternative routes and foreign travel advice from the UK government before booking the tickets with the airlines.
